The Jakarta government will continue to offer a special public transport fare by Rp 1 for the public in celebration of Jakarta's 499th Anniversary. Following its implementation on July 22, 2026, this program will be re-introduced on June 27 and 28, 2026, for Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta services.
This program will serve as a special gift for the residents
Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Budi Awaluddin stated that this policy is a form of appreciation for the public, providing more affordable transportation services while simultaneously encouraging a more massive use of public transit in the capital.
"Hopefully, this program will serve as a special gift for the residents and, at the same time, invite more people to shift toward using public transit,” he expressed, Wednesday (6/24).

He explained that all service users can enjoy this special fare by using various predetermined payment methods.

He encouraged the community to make the most of this chance, shifting away from private transport to experience the ease of traveling by public transit.
"Aside from being more cost-effective, using public transportation also contributes to reducing traffic congestion and emissions in Jakarta,” he emphasized.
Payment options to access the Rp 1 fare consist of bank-issued electronic money cards, Multi-Trip Cards (KMT), JakLingko cards, and JakCard, along with the JakLingko and MyMRTJ mobile apps.
Meanwhile, Mikrotrans, Transjakarta Cares, and free services for specific community groups will continue to follow the previously existing fare regulations.
